First Course NYC

David planned, developed and launched this innovative culinary apprenticeship program, and serves as its lead instructor.

Launched in 2019 by NYC Small Business Services in partnership with Hostos Community College, the 14-week First Course program trains and connects New Yorkers to quality jobs in leading New York City restaurants. Students learn kitchen skills, receive on-the-job training and valuable industry exposure.
